Photos: Police in Maine 'arrest' woman for her 93rd birthday

AUGUSTA, Maine (WGME) – A daughter went above and beyond for her mom’s birthday in Augusta.

Anne Dumont had her mom "arrested" by Augusta Police in July.

She prearranged to have police come and "gently" arrest her 93-year-old mom.

The reason why?

Dumont says her mom loves to watch the show "Cops."

Dumont's mom got to see the inside of a police car, and also pushed the siren button.

Augusta Police say they were proud to be involved.
