FLORENCE, S.C. (WPDE) - A viewer sent us a picture Wednesday morning of a fountain at Francis Marion University in Florence overflowing in soapsuds.

This is the third fountain in the past four days to be filled with soap, bubbles or dishwashing detergent, causing a sudsy mess.

The fountain near the “Welcome to Florence” sign across the street from Magnolia Mall on David McLeod Boulevard spilled over in apparent soapsuds last Saturday night.

Several viewers took pictures of it and told us soapsuds were all over the place.

A viewer also sent us a picture of the fountain bubbling up in downtown Florence on Evans Street in front of FMU’s medical college.

We’ve contacted Florence police and FMU officials to learn if they’re investigating the incidents as apparent pranks or something more serious. We’ll let you know what we find out.
