A new billboard has been put up in Amarillo located at I-40 and Coulter that says“Texas is for everyone, not for bigotry. Welcome y’all.”

According to a GoFundMe page created by Roman Leal, "We need a sign that represents the true, hospitable spirit of the great state of Texas."

Leal continued saying, "Texas is for everyone--not for bigotry. Welcome, y'all!" will go up on the Lamar digital billboard at I-40 and Coulter. It will be visible to travelers and commuters driving along the interstate in Amarillo, giving us a chance to put our best boot forward. Meeting the campaign goal will keep the billboard up for 4 weeks. Any contributions exceeding the goal will be used to pay for a longer duration."

The goal for the GoFundMe page was to reach $1,800 but the page has raised at least $2,965.

Last week, a sign went up on I-40 in Vega, Texas saying,"liberals, please continue on I-40 until you have left our GREAT STATE OF TEXAS." The sign was posted on Facebook and it garnered thousands of reactions.

Another billboard in Maryland targeting liberals went up in May.

The billboard stated, "hey liberals, better get your guns if you try to impeach President Trump."
