A new 'wookie' joins the Fort Worth Police Department

FORT WORTH, Texas (WSET) - Chewbacca has made a new change in his life and it looks like he's joined the Fort Worth Police Department.

The Fort Worth Police Department posted on its Facebook page a Star Wars-themed video, welcoming its new police officers.

The video ends with this message:

"Attention, rookies! Welcome to the Fort Worth Police Department! Remember to always show courtesy and respect to our citizens and always provide professional service. And may the force be with you!"

Since it was posted on Wednesday, the video has gone viral with more than 1 million views and more than 19,000 shares.
