A 300-pound potbellied pig in Wisconsin is safe and sound after escaping his enclosure, and the happy ending could only have been accomplished with an unexpected treat: fruit snacks.

The Green Bay Police Department posted the tale in a Facebook post, describing the adventures of "Albert" who lost his way on the west side of the city. Albert walked out of his enclosure last month after the fence was left open, and officers were quick to spot the animal who needed a helping hand.

Police went door to door, asking if anyone recognized the pig roaming through the neighborhood, and a neighbor eventually pointed them in the right direction.

Luckily, Albert's owner pulled out a bag of "sweet and sticky treats" – AKA fruit snacks – and was able to lead him back home.

"Mom, who was now with officers, pulled out a bag of these sweet and sticky treats and there went Albert, 'wee, wee, wee, all the way home,'" police said in the post. "This evening, all can rest at ease, as Albert, who lost his way, is now fast asleep, snoring in the hay."
