WASHINGTON (SBG) - It's important to stay healthy during the coronavirus outbreak, but being healthy goes beyond just the physical aspect. Maintaining healthy relationships and staying mentally fit are vital during these challenging days.

A clinical psychologist in Virginia has some tips on keeping relationships healthy.Dr. Amy Bowers says it's important to schedule meaningful time together, but also time apart. Even if it's just 15 to 20 minutes.

Meanwhile, others have discovered that spreading acts of kindness have helped them stay mentally healthy. In the Virginia, D.C. and Maryland area, a Facebook group with over 4,000 members has taken on a "Million Mask Challenge." In just one month, they have made over 70,000 two-layered cotton cloth face masks and delivered masks to more than 100 facilities.

In Rhode Island, essential employees at the city hall came up with a plan to help support local businesses in their city. Every afternoon they order lunch from a local restaurant to help them stay afloat during the pandemic.
