Stock Hay and Grain Farm is preparing to Host Luke Bryan concert

On Thursday, thousands of concert goers will head to Murdock, Nebraska to enjoy a Luke Bryan concert. This isn't just any concert. It's also a farm tour at Stock Hay and Grain Farm.

“Just a random phone call one day from a guy looking for a place to have a concert,” said Andrew Stock, a fifth generation farmer at his Stock Hay and Grain Farm. He didn't think twice when he was asked to host a stop for Luke Bryan's farm tour. Not only because he knows this tour will provide some of the proceeds to students going into agriculture, but also because this tour highlights those in the industry, and provides a fun night out for thousands near the town. The concert is expecting more than 10 thousand concert goers Thursday night on his 80 acre field.

“It’s interesting. You know we are a small family farm in rural Nebraska, a town of 250 people next door. You know we don’t host events like this,” said Stock. He was there Wednesday morning looking at some of the preparation work for the concert. Yet the set up was not finished, as roughly 15 semi trailers will come Thursday to finish setting up the stage and concession stands.

“We had hail that was not good for the crops, we kind of went from no snow to hard pounding rain hail and wind to drought so we had a lot of challenges in 2022,” said Stock He is one of many farmers that have faced challenges this year throughout the country.

But Stock said they are very hopeful no matter what “we are blessed we can grow crop and we just pray that next year goes a little better.”

Tickets start at 65 dollars. The concert begins at 6 p.m. Parking will cost an additional five dollars. A link is provided below to purchase tickets.
