OMAHA, Neb. (KPTM) — National Volunteer Month takes place in April, according to naitonaldaycalendar.com.
The week is meant to shine light on those who help the community out of love.
Volunteering can be a mighty large task. Volunteers help run organizations, engage the community, and fill specific needs/services of the community.
They do all of this without getting paid.
The week also highlights different opportunities out there for more people to get involved with.
Volunteermatch.org can match a person with an organization that they will feel great about volunteering with.
