  • Recycle
  • Teach kids the importance of not littering or picking up litter they find
  • Join an adopt a highway, park, or street program
  • Plant a tree or flowers
  • Put a fresh coat of paint on your fence
  • Pick up yard waste

Keep America Beautiful Month was created by the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts of America along with Keep America Beautiful Inc. in 1971, according to nationaldaycalendar.com.
