Cirque du Soleil comes back to town with show never seen before in Omaha

Cirque du Soleil returns to Omaha with a show that has never been seen in the city, according to a press release from MECA.

Corteo, directed by Daniele Finzi Pasca, will have five shows:

  • Thursday, November 30 at 7:30 p.m.
  • Friday, December 1 at 7:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, December 2 at 3:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
  • Sunday, December 3 at 1:00 p.m.
Corteo, which means cortege in Italian, is a joyous procession, a festive parade imagined by a clown. The show brings together the passion of the actor with the grace and power of the acrobat to plunge the audience into a theatrical world of fun, comedy and spontaneity situated in a mysterious space between heaven and earth, said the press release.

The show premiered in Montreal in April 2005, and he has dazzled over 10 millionpeople in 20 countries and four continents.
