MISSOULA, Mont. (KECI) —Costco announced this weekend that it would be limiting meat purchases as part of coronavirus response.

"Costco has implemented limits on certain items to help ensure more members are able to purchase merchandise they want and need," the company wrote on its website's coronavirus response page. "Our buyers and suppliers are working hard to provide essential, high demand merchandise as well as everyday favorites."

The company says fresh meat purchases will temporarily be limited to a total of three per member for beef, pork, and poultry selections.
