A meme with the face of Vice President Kamala Harris' running mate is getting attention.

The "Tampon Tim" meme was posted by former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. In her post, she defended a bill Walz signed into law last year. Clinton said it was "nice of the Trump camp to help publicize Gov. Tim Walz’s compassionate and common-sense policy."

The Minnesota lawthe meme is in reference to is one that required public schools to provide menstrual products, including pads and tampons, for all menstruating students in grades 4 through 12.

Clinton added in her post, "Let's do this [provide free menstrual products in all public school bathrooms] everywhere."

Clinton's post on X has been seen more than 3 million times.

It's only been a daysince Walz was announced he'd join Harris on the Democratic ticket and Republicans are quick topoint out his past.

Chaya Raichik, who runs the far-right social media account Libs of TikTok, reportedly created the meme of Walz’s face on a Tampax box.Raichik thanked Clinton for sharing the trending post.

On FOX News,Raichik said, "As a woman, I think there is no greater threat to our health than leaders who support gender-transition surgeries for young minors, who support putting tampons in men’s bathrooms in public schools."

Other Republicans have also referred to Walz by his new nickname.

“Tim Walz is a weird radical liberal,” the MAGA War Room account posted on X. “What could be weirder than signing a bill requiring schools to stock tampons in boys' bathrooms?”

Others on the left have defended Walz.

Democratic Minnesota Rep. Sandra Feist, the chief sponsor of the bill in the state House, said she "grateful" to have addressed period poverty in Minnesota.

This law exemplifies what we can accomplish when we listen to students to address their needs. Excited to see MN representation at the top of the ticket! #TamponTim

Minnesota is reportedly one of 28 states that have passed laws aimed at giving students access to menstrual products in schools, according to the Alliance for Period Supplies.
