Report: NYPD set to revoke Donald Trump's gun permit after felony conviction

Donald Trump'slicense to carry a gun in New York will be reportedly revoked.

A senior police official told CNN that the New York Police Department was preparing to revoke's the former president'slicense to carry a gun.

This comes after Trump was convicted 34 felonies in a Manhattan court last week.

Trump's New York concealed carry license was suspended in April 2023 following his indictment on the criminal charges, according to thenews report.

His pistols, which he had a licensed to carry, were turned over to NYPD last year.

According to the police official, one of Trump's guns, listed on his license, was "lawfully moved to Florida." They told CNNthat NYPD's legal bureau's investigation must be completed and will likely lead to revocation of his license.

Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon is a federal crime.

The National Desk reached out to the NYPD, but did not hear back at the time this story was published.

Trump is expected to be sentenced next month.
