A Memphis man is being charged with making death threats against President Joseph Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and former President Barack Obama, according to the Department of Justice.

Kyl Alton Hall, 37-year-old man from Tennessee, is accused of making numerous threats on X against prominent Democrats.

Federal prosecutors alleged that Hallthreatened to kill, assassinate, shoot, and crash the plane of Biden; assassinate Harris and Obama.

Hall was indicted on Tuesday after he allegedly made the threats in July.

The suspect was charged with two counts of threats to a sitting president and vice president and one count of a threat to a former president

If convicted, Hall could face up to 15 years in prison.

The case was investigated by the FBI and the U.S. Secret Service.

FBI Director Christopher Wray and U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland have warned of an increase of threats as the election gets closer.

"We expect that these threats will continue and that these cases will not be the last," Garland said earlier this month after a Pakistani man was charged in a plot to carry out political assassinations on U.S. soil.

On Thursday, a man accused of threatening to kill Republican presidential nominee and former president Donald Trump was taken into custody in Arizona after an hourslong manhunt.
