Top 10 most-stolen vehicles in the U.S.

WASHINGTON (SBG) -- This is probably one list you don’t want to be on. The National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB) released its annual “Hot Wheels” report, which identifies the top 10 most-stolen vehicles in the United States.

The current report breaks down the most-stolen vehicles in 2018 as well as the most-stolen vehicles from the 2018 model years.

Is your vehicle on the list? If you own a Honda, there’s a good chance it is because Civic and Accord are the top two most-stolen vehicles in 2018.

The top-10 most-stolen vehicles in 2018 (total vehicles stolen):

  • Honda Civic (38,426): The most popular model year was 2000 with 5,290 vehicles stolen.
  • Honda Accord (36,815): The most stolen model year was 1997 with 5,029 vehicles stolen.
  • Ford Full-Size Pickup (36,355): The most stolen model year was 2006 with 3,173 vehicles stolen.
  • Chevrolet Full-Size Pickup (31,566): The most stolen model year was 2004 with 2,097 vehicles stolen.
  • Toyota Camry (16,906): The most stolen model year was 2017 with 1,144 vehicles stolen.
  • Nissan Altima (13,284): The most stolen model year was 2017 with 1,451 vehicles stolen.
  • Toyota Corolla (12,388): The most stolen model year was 2017 with 1,034 vehicles stolen.
  • GMC Full-Size Pickup (11,708): The most stolen model year was 2018 with 1,170 vehicles stolen.
  • Dodge Full-Size Pickup (11,226): The most stolen model year was 2001 with 1,155 vehicles stolen.
  • Jeep Cherokee/Grand Cherokee (9,818): The most stolen model year was 2000 646 vehicles stolen.

However, in terms of most-coveted vehicles from the 2018 model year, full-size pickup trucks take No. 1, 2 and 5 slots.

  • Ford Full-Size Pickup (1,017)
  • Toyota Camry (976)
  • Nissan Altima (912)
  • Chevrolet Full-Size Pickup (790)

  • Dodge Charger (719)
  • Toyota Corolla (699)
  • Chevrolet Malibu (698)
