Santa's new sleigh is based on a Dodge Challenger Hellcat Redeye

LOS ANGELES — Don’t be surprised if Santa’s sleigh sounds a bit different this Christmas. Rather than depending on the power of reindeer, Santa decided to add horsepower – 797 horses to be exact.

On display at the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show, Santa’s new red sled is based on the 2019 Challenger Hellcat Redeye, complete with a Dodge Demon-derived engine.

Dubbed the “Redeye Express,” the sleigh is equipped with all the best amenities including heated leather seats and Dodge’s Uconnect system with navigation to ensure that all the presents make it to the right homes.
