Lincoln announced this week that it will introduce an all-new SUV at the 2019 New York Auto Show on April 17. While few (read: no) details have been released, we do know that this newest entry will be called "Corsair," and we presume it will replace the out-going MKC.
The current MKC was introduced at the 2013 Detroit auto show as a 2014 model. It is the smallest SUV in the Lincoln lineup and is equipped with a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine or a 2.3-liter 4-cylinder engine. It's available as front- and all-wheel-drive models and has a base price of $34,490, including destination.
Interestingly, the Corsair name was previously a moniker that belonged to British Ford Motor Co. vehicles back in the 1960s. It also made a brief appearance in America as the Edsel Corsair in 1958.
Until we have more details, here is the current teaser Lincoln has released.
