After a 40-year run as the host of "Wheel of Fortune," Pat Sajak's final show date was announced as June 7, 2024.

This comes nearly a year after Sajak announced he would be retiring.

"Well, the time has come. I’ve decided that our 41st season, which begins in September, will be my last. It’s been a wonderful ride, and I’ll have more to say in the coming months. Many thanks to you all. (If nothing else, it’ll keep the clickbait sites busy!)", Sajak posted on X, formerly Twitter, on June 12, 2023.

"I'm so excited," Seacrest told "Good Morning America" on Feb. 12 about his new gig. "I've been watching it for so many years, like so many people here in this country."

Seacrest will continue to host "American Idol."

Sajak has some Maryland ties as he owns a home in Annapolis, Maryland. He's also a Baltimore Orioles fan.
