Ads during the biggest game of the year were pricey in 2018 ($5 million for 30 seconds) - and companies are pulling out all the stops to build anticipation for some of the best commercials the ad world has to offer.

Turns out, the Patriots and Eagles aren't the only ones battling it out this year; Doritos and Mountain Dew challenged Peter Drinklage and Morgan Freeman to an epic rap battle.

The commercial was teased in January on social media - showing footage of Freeman training with Missy Elliott for his bit.

Their match up was sold as "Doritos Blaze Vs. Mountain Dew Ice."

Not to be outdone, Pepsi is recreating their old-school ad featuring none other than Cindy Crawford and her son - and of course, a slice of Britney Spears.

Amazon featured a "breaking news" video alerting customers to a new voice for their in-home product, asking "What if Alexa lost her voice?"

Movie star Chris Pratt is in on the action this year too, training with Michelob Ultra for the big day.

Of course, Budweiser is ready for the ultimate "Dilly dilly."

Moving on from liquids to solids - M&M's turned their iconic red character into a real man: Danny Devito.

The candy even released a behind-the-scenes look at their shoot.

Budweiser this yearalsodecided to spend their time highlighting their efforts sending drinking water around the country to places experiencing natural disasters.

Their outreach included hurricanes in Texas, Florida and Puerto Rico, along with the fires and mudslides that struck California.
