Victoria's Secret hires its first plus size model

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) -- Victoria's Secret is inching closer to becoming an inclusive company.

For the first time, Victoria's Secret will feature a plus size woman in their campaign. Ali Tate Cutler who is a size 14, just signed with the company as part of a new partnership with a London-based lingerie brand called Bluebella.

Cutler made the announcement on her Instagram page, by posting a photo of herself wearing Bluebella lingerie.

"I believe I’m the first size 14 on @victoriassecret?," Tate captioned the post. "Regardless I’m pretty stoked to work with a brand I idolized when I was a teen. Great step in the right direction for bodies."

Cutler told E!she was cast to work with Bluebella in London, and then she was told that her work would be showcased at Victoria's Secret.

"A size 14 isactually the average size of women in America and I do think that we need to see more of it in media and fashion because most women are that size," Cutler added.
