The 'Scrubs' reboot teaser trailer delivers nostalgia and laughs
Time to scrub back in! The “Scrubs" reboot just dropped its first teaser trailer.
The 30 second clip, shared on the show’s official Instagram, features our favorite trio, J.D. (Zach Braff), Turk (Donald Faison), and Elliot (Sarah Chalke) strutting through the halls of Sacred Heart Hospital.
That is until a group of new interns spots them and asks, “Do you know who those people are?”
Turk and Elliot encourage J.D. to try a different approach after he declares “I’m back, baby!” so he channels his old mentor, Dr. Cox (John C. McGinley), who promptly pops out from behind a curtain to tease him.
“Re-heally super start there, scooter,” he delivers in classic Dr. Cox style, as Carla reminds him to “Leave Bambi alone,” (Bambi being her long-standing nickname for J.D.).
Either way, J.D. adds it’s “Good to be back” while striking a superhero pose Turk questions him on.
The clip gets us right back in the groove of the show, which ran for seven seasons on NBC before moving to ABC for an eighth and ninth season.
The official logline for the revived version of the series reads, “JD (Braff) & Turk (Faison) scrub in together for the first time in a long time - medicine has changed, interns have changed, but their bromance has stood the test of time. Characters new and old navigate the waters of Sacred Heart with laughter, heart and some surprises along the way.”
The “Scrubs” reboot will premiere February 25 on ABC. All episodes will also be available to stream on Hulu.
