WASHINGTON (Circa)Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has been on a media tour for the ages stopping by shows such as "Good Morning America" and "SportsCenter" to promote his new movie "Rampage." On Wednesday, the tour is about to get bigger.

Johnson is set to host Wednesday afternoon's edition of HQ Trivia - a game show app that allows users to answer trivia questions on their phone. Host Scott Rogowsky asks up to 12 questions and if you answer every single one correctly, you can win a share of a cash prize. Over 1 million people watch and play along with the game show on their phones daily.

Johnson will be co-hosting Wednesday's edition of the show with Rogowsky and will be giving away the app's largest prive ever - $300,000. The movie star's appearance is part of an overall deal that the app has with Warner Bros., the studio behind "Rampage."

"Of all the things my friends hit me up about... I’ve never been texted more about something than me giving away $300,000 this Wednesday," Johnson said in a tweet posted on Monday. " @hqtrivia’s biggest prize ever. Gonna be insane! Pls stop texting me. Lol."

He also urged his 12 million followers on Twitter to keep their phones close because "I want you to win! Then drinks on you."

“I’ve been a fan of Dwayne Johnson since his CFL days. Getting to work with him is an impossible dream come true,” Rogowsky told PEOPLE Magazine. "HQties across the HQniverse are going to flip their wigs when they see DJ pop up on their favorite game show on Wednesday. We’re giving out our biggest prize ever — enough money to go to the gym for 400 years (which is how long it would take to get as swole as him!).”

The "Rampage" star is not new to the digital scene and has a very active footprint. He owns a digital production company known as Seven Bucks Digital Studios, an ad agency that creates digital content and boasts over 100 million followers across Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

Ad Age reports Warner Bros. is paying HQ Trivia $3 million to promote three of its movies. The first sponsored game as part of the deal was used to promote "Ready Player One" ("Rampage" is the second film) which opened at number 1 in the box office this past weekend. That game gave away the app's largest cash prize at the time - $250,000.

One of the winners of that game, 25-year-old Jason Varney, recently spoke to CNBC about his victory and said that he guessed 12 of the 15 questions he eventually answered correctly.

"I guessed from [questions] 4 to 15. I mean, complete guesses," Varney said. "What are the chances?"

HQ Trivia isn't the only trivia app to team up with a major brand this week.

An HQ competitor known as The Q Trivia partnered with the Dallas Mavericks basketball team to ask viewers questions about the team. Winners of the game had the chance to win cash as well as floor seats to a game next season. The Mavs are owned by entrepreneur and media magnate Mark Cuban.

HQ Trivia and The Q are just two of a series of trivia apps that have been launched throughout the past year. Some of the apps are themed towards a specific city such as YAS or a specific genre such as Halftime Live which asks questions about sports or Lively which is aimed at dating.
