'The Pitt' season two trailer is here with fireworks, malfunctions, and more Noah Wyle
“The Pitt” is ready to throw us back in the action for season two.
The new trailer dropped today, kicking off with Emmy-winner Noah Wyle’s Dr. Robby muttering, “And so it begins” as he enters the ER at the Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center.
We see some familiar faces returning, like nurse Dana Evans (Emmy-winner Katherine LaNasasa) who was rethinking her whole career after she was punched in the face by a disgruntled patient last season. There’s also the return of Dr. Frank Langdon (Patrick Ball) fresh out of rehab but on thin ice with his mentor, Dr. Robby.
There’s also fan favorite Dr. Mel King (Taylor Dearden) and our trio of newbies from the first season, Dr. Trinity Santos (Isa Briones), Dennis Whittaker (Gerran Howell) and Victoria Javadi (Shabana Azeez), as well as the more experienced doctors on the floor, Dr. Samira Mohan (Supriya Ganesh) and Dr. Cassie McKay (Fiona Dourif).
Season two’s shift takes place over the Fourth of July, but even with all the explosives, that might be the least of the Pitt team’s problems. There’s also a drill that shuts down all the computers (and possibly more), meaning they’ll be working analog (aka good ole paper and pen). The Fourth of July cannot be the best day to run that kind of drill!
Tensions are also high between Robby, who’s working one last shift before he goes on a sabbatical, and his temporary replacement, Dr. Baran Al-Hashimi (Sepideh Moafi). She’s got ideas to improve the department, but given the chaos on a regular basis, can she really pull it off? (As if anyone there could replace Dr. Robby anyway!).
“The Pitt” will return on HBO Max on January 8, with weekly releases on Thursday.
