The newest trailer for Netflix’s “Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery” promises the most confounding mystery for Detective Benoit Blanc, played by Daniel Craig.

The movie follows Blanc’s investigation into the murder of a priest, Monsignor Jefferson Wicks (Josh Brolin), who is killed in what Blanc calls a “perfectly impossible crime” after entering a sealed room, to be found dead a short time later.

Suspects in the tiny community abound, namely the newly arrived priest, Jud Duplenticy (Josh O’Connor), who didn’t care for the Monsignor and “hated his guts.” and other colorful personalities like devoted church lady Martha Delacroix (Glenn Close), cautious groundskeeper Samson Holt (Thomas Haden Church), an uptight attorney Vera Draven (Kerry Washington), a rising politician Cy Draven (Daryl McCormack), doctor Nat Sharp (Jeremy Renner), writer Lee Ross (Andrew Scott), and cellist Simone Vivane (Cailee Spaeny).

Assisting in Blanc’s investigation is Police Chief Geraldine Scott (Mila Kunis), the person called in the Southern detective to solve this whodunnit.

“This goes way beyond normal police work,” Blanc says. “This is something even I have not experienced.”

Can Blanc solve the case?

“I’m incapable of not solving a crime. Oh, you’ll see. It’s fun,” he tells the police chief and the number one suspect.

See Blanc crack the case in theaters November 26 and on Netflix December 12.
