Tejano singer Jimmy Gonzalez dies at San Antonio hospital, report states

SAN ANTONIO (KABB/WOAI) - Tejano fans are mourning the loss of Jimmy Gonzalez, the lead singer and guitarist of the Tejano band Grupo Mazz.

San Antonio radio station KXTN posted on its Facebook page that family members had confirmed the singer's death at a San Antonio hospital.

A Corpus Christi media outlet reported that Gonzalez had been taken to a hospital after his blood sugar dropped. KIII-TV reports he died about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.
