Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco celebrate engagement after year-long romance

(TNND) — Pop star and actress Selena Gomez will get her happily ever after announcing her engagement Wednesday to record producer Benny Blanco.

Gomez revealed the news on her Instagram by writing: "forever begins now," and showing off a close-up photo of her diamond ring.

"Hey wait....that's my wife," Blanco commented on the post along with a slew of other celebrities including Taylor Swift, Jennifer Aniston, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Julia Michaels.

Gomez, 32, and Blanco, 36, went public with their relationship about a year ago after collaborating on several songs.

The former Disney Channel star recently earned Golden Globe nominations for her roles in "Only Murders in the Building" and "Emilia Pérez."

Gomez, who owns cosmetic brand Rare Beauty, became one of the youngest self-made billionaires in September with a valued net worth of $1.3 billion, according to Bloomberg.

Blanco is known for co-writing chart-topping songs with singers including Rihanna, Katy Perry, Maroon 5 and Britney Spears.
