WASHINGTON (TND) — Former Fox and News Corp chairman Rupert Murdoch, 92, is engaged for the sixth time to 67-year-old girlfriend Elena Zhukova.
The news of the billionaire's engagement was confirmed to The New York Times just days before his 93rd birthday.
It is Murdoch's second engagement in a year after announcing plans to marry Ann Lesley Smith in August.
A representative told The New York Times that the wedding will be held at Murdoch's California vineyard estate, Moraga in June.
In September, the media mogul announced he was stepping down as chairman at Fox and News Corp and his son Lachlan would take over.
In a letter to employees announcing his departure, he said he would be engaged at Fox.
He created Fox News in 1996 and eventually started the Fox broadcast network to create more competition with ABC, CBS and NBC. He also owns the Wall Street Journal and the New York Post.
Murdoch used to own other entertainment assets in film production and television channels, which were sold in 2019 to Walt Disney Co.
