WASHINGTON (SBG) - Famous chef Giada De Laurentiis is speaking out for the first time to DailyMailTV after filing a temporary restraining order against an alleged stalker.
"I am always looking behind my shoulder to see what is going on. It's always at the forefront of everywhere that I go," the chef told Daily Mail as she expressed how she feels like a 'target'.
De Laurentiis says she began to receive messages on her website from a man who referred to himself as "AA."
"I want to say that I am one of your biggest fans. Not only are you the most attractive woman I've ever seen but also the classiest," one message allegedly said.
In another message, "AA" allegedly wrote "it would mean a lot to me to see her again and I think she feels the same way. So if you want to make G happy - let us see each other and talk."
The chef says she hired a private investigator as a result of the messages and eventually filed a temporary restraining order after an incident at a book signing in Los Angeles.
"AA" allegedly appeared and confronted the chef, according to court documents obtained by The Daily Mail.
"(He) was shaking and sweating and asked me why I did not cash his check. I was confused and had no idea what AA was talking about," De Laurentiis said according to the court documents.
