Recording artist Lizzo treats frontline healthcare workers to lunch

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — No DNA test was needed for Lizzo to thank some of the frontline workers battling the coronavirus pandemic in Las Vegas.

North Vista Hospital representatives said the recording superstar bought lunch earlier this month for more than 100 healthcare providers who staff the dedicated COVID-19 units.

Workers received lunch from Capriotti's sandwich shop, delivered by Uber eats, on Tuesday, July 14.

Lizzo, whose real name isMelissa Viviane Jefferson, also shared a video message thanking them for their hard work.

"Our staff truly appreciates Lizzo’s kind gesture and generosity," North Vista CEO Vince Variale said in a statement. "They are diligently working hard to continue the battle against COVID-19. This kind and thoughtful token was greatly appreciated."
