WASHINGTON (TND) — A contestant on "The Price Is Right" dislocated his shoulder last week on air as he was celebrating a free trip to Hawaii.
The contestant, Henry, was playing Bonkers – a game where a player tries to guess whether a price is higher or lower than the numerals shown using paddles – and beat the clock, leading him to jump up and down and throw his arms in the air.
Later in the episode, host Drew Carey says Henry injured himself amid all the excitement.
"Let me explain what happened. Henry was celebrating and going, 'Woo!' and he dislocated his shoulder," Carey said, a clip of which was posted to the game show's Instagram account.
Due to Henry's injury, his wife Alice stepped in to continue the show and spin the wheel. She landed on 95 cents, with the goal being $1. Alice cheered and threw her arms in the air, leading Carey to joke, "Don't hurt yourself!"
"He won a trip to Hawaii and the ER," the show said in the Instagram caption, adding that Henry is "feeling better and all healed now."
