Pensacola gospel singer performs at Serena Williams' wedding

PENSACOLA, Fla. (WEAR) — A Pensacola native was chosen to sing at a tennis star's wedding in New Orleans on Thursday night.

21-year-oldDewayne Crocker Jr.,says he's been singing since he was five years old.

He was asked to sing at a wedding in New Orleans in February.

Crocker Jr. didn't know who the wedding was for until he got there.

The Sunday Best winner says when he found out it was for Serena Williams he was nervous, but he knew he had to bring his best performance.

"Beyoncé was right there...Kelly Rowland, Ciara- so many people, billionaires, millionaires- they were right there," said Crocker Jr. "I was like 'dude this is the biggest performance you've ever done so you got to kill it'. I was kind of nervous but I still did me."

Williams was married to Alexis Ohanian on Thursday, Nov. 16th in front of 200 family members and friends.
