Pandemic sends Miranda Lambert on cross country trip in a trailer

WASHINGTON (SBG) -- Appearing to take a cue from her song "Highway Vagabond," country star Miranda Lambert is hitting the road.

Instead of starting on a new tour, Lambert is taking a road trip with her husband,Brendan Mcloughlin.

Lambert detailed how most of her traveling has consisted of her rolling in, playing a show and rolling out to the next place. The singer said the coronavirus pandemic sparked an epiphany for her.

"Just because I can’t travel and play shows, doesn’t mean I can’t travel and make music. I have the most amazing travel companion, my husband, and we decided to add a family member. Y’all meet 'The Sheriff,'“ Lambert wrote in an Instagram post.

Lambert is known for her collection of vintage trailers, CNN reports, but "The Sheriff" is the first brand new one she's owned.
