This week sees "The Equalizer 3", "The Nun II," Disney's "Haunted Mansion," and the vulgar "Strays" making their way to your favorite digital retailers. There weren't screenings of "The Equalizer 3" or "The Nun II" for local press. A shame considering I enjoyed the first two Equalizer films and "The Nun II" is now the only film in the Conjuring universe that I haven't seen. Hope to rectify that soon. "Haunted Mansion" deserved a better reception, maybe releasing family-friendly horror films in July isn't the best idea Disney has ever had. I hated "Strays." That doesn't mean you can't like it.

On the Blu-ray and DVD front is the excellent horror film "Talk to Me," the latest volume of the animated series RWBY, and a wonderful mix of films making their 4K debuts including horror titles "The Mist," "Prey," the original Scream trilogy, and the classic psychological thriller "Don't Look Now."

Welcome to October, I hope it treats you well.
