New 'Ironheart' trailer blends technology and magic while introducing a new Marvel hero

A new hero is coming to the Marvel universe, as revealed by the latest trailer for Marvel Television’s “Ironheart.”

The six-episode series takes place after the events of “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” and stars Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams, a young genius inventor looking to make her mark on her hometown of Chicago. She’s following in the footsteps of Marvel icon Iron Man, making her own suits and finding magic and technology working together, while drawing the attention of Parker Robbins, aka “The Hood” (played by “Hamilton” star Anthony Ramos).

“Solo” star Alden Ehrenreich is on hand to provide guidance as a mentor, and the series also stars Lyric Ross, Regan Aliyah, Manny Montana, Matthew Elam, and Anji White. Ryan Coogler, who directed both “Black Panther” movies, is on board as an executive producer, too.

“Ironheart” premieres June 24 on Disney+.
