New DVD, Blu-ray and digital release highlights for the week of November 9-15, 2020

SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — This week's releases are on the thin side. There's some quality to be found if you know where to look.

Digital

• The Broken Hearts Gallery - Geraldine Viswanathan andDacre Montgomery star in this romantic drama about a young art gallery assistant who has surrounded herself with souvenir from all her (failed) relationships. Her most recent breakup inspires her to create an arts instillation made from all the items that bind her to the past. (Full Review)
• Jungleland -Charlie Hunnam and Jack O’Connell star in this drama about a pair of brothers struggling to make a name (and a living) in theworld of bare-knuckle boxing.
• Sleepless Beauty- A Polish (dubbed in English) horror/thriller that sees a young woman abducted and placed in a nondescript factory storeroom. There she is dehumanized by masked men who stream their vicious psychological experiment live for those willing to pay. It gets overly complicated for a 90-minute film.

New to Blu-ray and DVD

• Bill & Ted Face the Music -Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter return as middle-aged versions of their classic Bill and Ted characters. It's a most-excellent sequel that gleefully celebrates the best aspects of the original films without relying entirely on nostalgia. Loved it. (Full Review)
• The Last Dance - The critically acclaimed documentary from ESPN about the Chicago Bulls' 1997-98 Championship season. The Blu-ray release includes an additional 4-hours of bonus features.
• The Office: Complete Series - All 9 seasons from the beloved American sitcom featuring Michael's (Steve Carell) Dwight's (Rainn Wilson), Jim's (John Krasinksi), Andy's (Ed Helms), and Pam (Jenna Fischer).
  
• A Rainy Day in New York -Woody Allen's latest finds a pair of lovers (Timothée Chalamet and Elle Fanning) separated and meandering through the rainy streets of New York City. The cast also includesSelena Gomez, Jude Law, Diego Luna, and Liev Schreiber.

Genre and Arthouse

• Blade: The Iron Cross - A spin-off from the Puppet Master franchise focused on Blade, the hook-handed puppet. The screenplay comes fromNeal Marshall Stevens (AKARoger Barron AKABenjamin Carr) who wrote "Puppet Master: Axis Termination," "Curse of the Puppet Master" and "Retro Puppet Master."
• The Brides of Dracula - This 1960 offering from Hammer Films is a sequel to 1958's "Dracula" and features the legendaryPeter Cushing backasDoctor Van Helsing. This time he's huntingBaron Meinster (David Peel) in hopes of saving the beautiful schoolteacher Marianne Danielle (Yvonne Monlaur).
• Burst City - Released in 1982, this Japanese film is a mix of punk rock, yakuza gangsters and dystopian sci-fi. An early progenitor of the cyberpunk genre.
• Girlfriends - One of Stanley Kubrick's favorite films, "Girlfriends" was co-written and directed byClaudia Weill. The film was released in 1978 and starsMelanie Mayron as Susan, a photographer, who finds her life pushed in a new direction when her longtime roommate decides to get married.
• How to Make a Monster - The 1958 features sees a disgruntled makeup artist exacting his revenge on his corporate overlords by hypnotizing a pair of young actors (featuring Gary Conway, who returns as his character from "I Was a Teenage Frankenstein").
• Metamorphosis - A South Korean horror film about a evil spirit that threatens a family.
• Monty Python's Flying Circus - All four seasons of the classic show have been restored using the best original elements available.
• War of the Colossal Beast - ABert I. Gordon film from 1958 that finds a giant, disfigured man terrorizing Mexico. It's essentially a sequel to Gordon's 1957 film "The Amazing Colossal Man." Gordon love making films about super-sized creatures. They're unique.
