Once upon a time, streaming was simple. There were only a couple of major options and a few specialty streamers to fill in the gaps. These days there are so many options that it can be overwhelming. I’ve been there. In fact, I spent the past couple of days digging through my email and dropping down a few rabbit holes (as I often do) I’ve compiled a guide through September featuring a bit of everything for everyone. I’ve included a few lesser-known services for those looking to do a deeper dive that goes beyond the usual suspects.

I’m most excited about Synapse Film’s 4K version of “Suspiria” debuting on the Criterion Channel, the new episodes of and a behind-the-scenes look at “Ahsoka” on Disney+, Peacock’s “The Continental: From the World of John Wick,” and the documentary “Neither Confirm Nor Deny” on Kino Now. I’m also curious to see what the launch of CNN Max looks like.

At the height of his popularity, the comedian risked everything by staging a parody of the great Italian poet, Gabriele D’Annunzio. Booed and hissed from the stage by younger rivals, Scarpetta was sued for plagiarism, leading to the first ever copyright lawsuit in Italy.
