Mystery unravels as Detective Pikachu trailer releases

ALBANY, Ga. (WFXL) - The mystery of what you can expect with a movie called "Detective Pikachu" might leave you a bit shocked.

Legendary Pictures dropped the new trailer for the film Monday morning and Pokemon are talking, at least Pikachu is, courtesy of Ryan Reynolds.

The plot revolves around a police officer trying to find his father and getting a little help along the way from his new friend.

Scattered throughout the trailer, you can catch glimpses of several fan favorites including Charmander, Squirtle, Bulbasaur Psyduck, Mr. Mime, and Jigglypuff.

A specific release date was wasn't announced, but Detective Pikachu will release in Summer 2019.
