WASHINGTON (SBG) — Legendary boxer Mike Tyson is getting back in the ring after 15 years.

The 54-year-old has occasionally teased a comeback by posting workout videos and it's finally scheduled to happen.

The former heavyweight championwill face off against four-division champion Roy Jones Jr. in an eight-round exhibition match Sept. 12 at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California.

Jones, 51,won titles in the middleweight, super middleweight and light heavyweight before moving up to win the heavyweight title in 2003. He became the first former middleweight champion to do so in more than 100 years.

Jones sports a 66-9 record but Tyson's athleticism commands respect, despite being out of the ring for more than a decade.

Tyson became the youngest heavyweight champion in history in 1986 when he won the title at just 20 years old. For a time, he was the most feared fighter in boxing. However, his career was filled with distractions. He hasn't boxed since 2005 after losing his second straight fight.

The event, branded the "Frontline Battle," will air on pay-per-view and the social media music platform Triller, The Associated Press reports.
