Lil Nas X gifts Billy Ray Cyrus a new Maserati following success of hit 'Old Town Road'

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) - Lil Nas X showed his gratitude to Billy Ray Cyrus for his contribution to the massive success of his debut single "Old Town Road."

The rapper and songwriter, who featured Cyrus on the remix version of the No. 1 hit song, surprised the country music legend with a Maserati sports car in a video shared on his Twitter account.

Fittingly, Cyrus mentions the vehicle in his verse on the remix of the song, singing,“Baby’s got a habit: diamond rings and Fendi sports bras. Ridin’ down Rodeo with my Maserati sports car.”

In the video, Lil Nas X knocks on Cyrus' door and tells viewers "we're about topull up on Billy Ray Cyrus’ crib and I’m ‘Postmating’ him a gift."

After a surprised Cyrus answers the door, Lil Nas X leads him to the driveway, where he shows him the car and says, "When the 20-year-old leads Cyrus to the driveway and says, “‘Old Town Road’ [is] number one [for] seven weeks.”

Cyrus shared a photo of himself and the rapper posing on the hood of the car on his Instagram account.

"Old Town Road" has held the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 charts for seven consecutive weeks.
