JACKSONVILLE, Ala. (WTVC) - The legendary country music group Alabama is stepping up to help a college devastated by a tornado-- and tickets are going on sale soon.

Grammy Award-winning country band Alabama announced on Monday it will hold a benefit concert at Jacksonville State University.

The band will be joined by an all-star lineup of artists including the Charlie Daniels Band, Jamey Johnson, Riley Green, Shenandoah, Darren Knight a.k.a. "Southern Momma" and other surprise artists.

JSU was heavily damaged when an EF-3 tornado hit the campus in March.

Students were on spring break when the storm struck.

Randy Owen, lead singer of Alabama, is a proud alum of JSU, and says he's devoted to giving back to the community that gave so much to him.

Alabama says all proceeds from the concert will go to tornado relief.

Tickets go on sale Tuesday, May 1 at 10 a.m., with prices starting at $25.

The concert is slated for Sept. 26 at JSU.
