LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas is reportedly set to host the College Football Playoff championship game in 2027.
Action Network's Brett McMurphyreported Monday that Las Vegas is a "lock" to host the game after being chosen as a preferred host city.
New Orleans, Dallas and Miami are also in talks to host the following three title games. Championship sites are expected to be announced in September, according to McMurphy.

Las Vegas would be the 11th different city to host a CFP championship.
McMurphy previously reported that Las Vegas was eyed to host the 2025 championship, but a potential date for the game conflicted with next year's CES, which typically draws tens of thousands of people.
It's still unclear if the College Football Playoff will feature 12 or 14 teams in its new playoff format for the 2027 game.
