Lana Condor’s romance is worthy of a Taylor Swift song.

The “To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before” star knew it was love at first sight when she spotted 31-year-old actor Anthony De La Torre at an Emmys party 10 year ago and she said he “didn’t stand a chance”.

“I locked eyes on him, and I didn't let him go. It was like a Taylor Swift song. I beckoned him with my eyes. He didn't stand a chance. He didn't stand a chance against me,” Condor told People Magazine.

She continued, “I was with colleagues. He was with friends. I think he was with his team. And then we just made eye contact. And that was about it. He walked up to me, and he said, ‘Hey, I'd like to make a friend.’ And I was like, in my brain, I was like, ‘Great, I'd like to meet a husband. It's nice to meet you.’”

Condor, 28, and De La Torre, 31, dated for seven years before announcing their engagement in January 2022.

The pair tied the knot in a romantic ceremony at Malibu's Serra Retreat in 2024.

In May, she told our Courtney Tezeno she knew De La Torre was the one from their very first date.

“He takes his first bite and was like, “Ooo my God. Wow,” Condor said with a laugh. “I remember thinking to myself, I'm like, ‘I really like you, and I need to get to know more about you, because if a simple turkey sandwich can bring this much joy out of you, this is a type of person that I want to be around.’”

She added that “small gestures” from De La Torre, who is also a musician, are what make her swoon.

“A lot of his music is loosely dedicated or about me in some capacity,” she said at the time. “He's very romantic, but I think, honestly, it's the small gestures. It's like he will make me breakfast every morning in bed.”
