Kelsey Grammer has been famous for decades at this point, but not necessarily for his youngest kids.

The “Cheers” and “Frasier” star says his daughter Faith, 13 and sons Gabriel, 11 and 8-year-old James - whom he has with his wife, Kayte Walsh – enjoy driving around Hollywood and seeing the sights, but get confused when he gets recognized.

“They get a kick out of when we’re driving around Hollywood, and they’ll see the tourist bus, or one of the Hollywood maps guys, and they’ll go, ‘Oh, there’s Kelsey Grammer over there.' And the kids are like, ‘What’s going on?’” he recently told E! News.

Faith, Gabriel, and James aren’t as familiar with the shows that put their dad on the map, but are fascinated by his work as Dr. Hank McCoy, aka Beast, in the “X-Men” franchise.

"At first they were very, very sheepish about it at first. Then they finally came up and said, ‘Do you really play Beast?’ [Their reaction was], ‘Wow! That’s cool!'" he said.

Grammer also joked, "It was the first time I was cool. But that was pretty great.”

The 70-year-old shares his three youngest with Kayte Walsh, along with newborn baby boy Christopher, and is also father to Spencer Grammer with his first wife, Doreen Alderman, Greer Grammer with his then girlfriend Barrie Buckner, Mason and Jude Grammer with ex-wife Camile Grammer.

While speaking with the outlet, Grammer also shared his family’s plans for Christmas.

"My sons love Christmas. They love decorating the tree. I'm hanging the lights. We're still a very traditional family in that way, everybody’s very happy about Santa Claus,” he said, adding, "We’re looking forward to a great visit from the man in red. It’s very exciting."

But what Grammer is most looking forward to is "just really sitting around with the kids and spending time with them".
