WASHINGTON (SBG) -- The coronavirus pandemic has America pining for things that "what would have," could have and should have been. People around the world are mourning moments, memories and interactions lost; no different are celebrities.

The 2020 Met Gala "About Time: Fashion and Duration" may have been postponed, but that hasn't stopped singer Katy Perry from showing off the ensemble she was set to wear at the event.

The very Madonna-esque cone bra corset, with matching baby bump, of course, was designed by Jean Paul Gaultier. The 2020 Met Gala was intended to be a star-studded fundraiser and fashion's biggest night of the year.

Vogue describes it as "a grand display of art as fashion and fashion as art, showing how both forms comprise and define our cultural fabric."

Perry, 35, and fiancé Orlando Bloom are expecting a baby girl. Perry said she was definitely going to show off the bump at the event. Instead, she says her and Bloom, 43, spent their time at home.

The pair married on Valentine's Day in 2019. Perry announced her pregnancy in early March through her latest music video "Never Worn White," writing on her Instagram account, "Let’s just say it’s gonna be a jam packed summer..."
