VIDEO: Katy Perry gets stuck in midair during Nashville show, jumps into crowd

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) - YouTube video shows pop superstar Katy Perry getting stuck midair during her Nashville show -- then jumping into the crowd after the display had made its descent to the stage.

Perry performed at Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday night.

She had just finished singing "Thinking of You" when the malfunction happened and the singer got stuck midair on a Saturn-shaped platform on wires.

The display was making its slow descent and Perry surprised fans asking, "Should I just, like, jump?" -- and proceeded to jump into a mosh pit of fans (around 1:12 in the video).

Perry played off the technical difficulty and even added, "I thought I saw a shooting star while I was up there."
