Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom ended their relationship in July after nearly a decade together, and now the singer appears to be giving some clues as to what happened.

Katy released the music video for her latest single, “bandaids,” Thursday, with lyrics pointing to a failing relationship.

“Hand to God, I promise I tried / There’s no stone left unturned/It’s not what you did / It’s what you didn’t / You were there, but you weren’t,” Katy sings.

She continues, “Got so used to you letting me down / No use tryna send flowers now/Telling myself you’ll change, you don’t / Band-Aids over a broken heart.”

As Katy goes about her day in the music video, she’s met with “Final Destination”-like injuries and death scenes that she manages to survive, all while lamenting the lack of effort from her partner.

The most pointed image is near the end of the video, when Katy sings “If I had to do it all over again / I would still do it all over again/The love that we made was worth it in the end” as she looks at a tiny daisy, a possible nod to her and Orlando’s daughter, Daisy Dove.

Katy and Orlando had been on-and-off since they made their relationship public in May 2016. The pair got engaged on Valentine’s Day in 2019 and welcomed their daughter, Daisy Dove, in August 2020.

In September, Orlando appeared on “Today,” where he told host Craig Melvin “I’m great, man. I’m so grateful. We have the most beautiful daughter. You know when you leave everything on the field like I did in this movie? I feel grateful for it all.”

He added, and we’re great. We’re going to be great. Nothing but love.”

And while the music video appears to be a reflection of a past relationship, Katy seems to have moved on romantically with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
