Jim Carrey may be headed to space for his next role.

The “Ace Ventura” star is reportedly in talks to star in a live action version of the classic 60s cartoon, “The Jetsons.”

According to Variety, Carrey is in talks to lead the Warner Bros. Pictures project, with “Jurassic World: Dominion” filmmaker Colin Trevorrow poised to direct.

No details are available for a potential storyline.

“The Jetsons” have been brought to the big screen before, with 1990's animated feature “Jetsons: The Movie,” while there have been non-theatrical crossovers with “The Flintstones” (1987) and WWE (2017) over the years.

The futuristic show featured George and Jane Jetson, who live in Orbit City with their children Judy and Elroy, their dog Astro, and robot Rosie to help with the chores.

In recent years, Carrey's acting roles have been limited to playing Dr. Ivo 'Eggman' Robotnik in the Sonic the Hedgehog film trilogy between 2020 and 2024.

In 2022, he suggested he was "being fairly serious" about retiring from acting.

"It depends,” he told Access Hollywood at the time. "If the angels bring some sort of script that's written in gold ink, that says to me that it's going to be really important for people to see, I might continue down the road. But I'm taking a break."

But last year, he seemed to pull back on the idea of retiring, telling Comicbook.com, "You can’t be definite about these things. I said I’d like to retire, but I think I was talking more about 'power-resting.'

He continued, "Because as soon as a good idea comes your way or a group of people that you really enjoyed working with and stuff, it just— things tend to change."
