Jennifer Lopez is keeping it professional.

J.Lo is currently promoting her musical drama “Kiss of the Spider Woman,” and ran into an awkward question about her ex, Ben Affleck.

Ben is a producer on the film, and during Jennifer’s “Today” interview with Craig Melvin, he asked about his involvement.

“In the middle of filming this elaborate, beautiful musical, your divorce was also finalized with Ben,” Melvin said.

Jennifer cut him off with a laugh, saying, “There you go! Look at this guy!”

Melvin quickly clarified, “But then I read that your ex is an executive producer on the film.”

“If it wasn’t for Ben, the movie wouldn’t have gotten made,” she said brushing off the awkward moment. “And I will always give him that credit.”

She added, “And yeah, things happen, you have to keep going.”

The multitalented star then expertly pivoted to talking about the movie again.

“It’s funny, the movie is about escapism. It’s about how movies and art save us in the hardest times of our lives,” she explained. “Doing this project was such a dream come true for me that it really got me through to kind of survive a moment that was difficult in my personal life as well.”

Jennifer continued, “After [filming] I took some time off and now we’re back. I’m really excited for everybody to see this film. It’s a beautiful film about love.”

Melvin said, “And it sounds like it might have helped save you.”

She agreed, saying, “It did, it did!”

Ben and Jennifer first met in 2002 and were engaged in 2004 before breaking it off and moving on to other relationships. They rekindled their romance in 2021 and were married in a small ceremony in 2022, later holding a second ceremony in Georgia with more friends and family.

They divorced in February 2024, citing irreconcilable differences.
