WASHINGTON (SBG) – J. Cole's upcoming annual Dreamville Festival taking place in Raleigh, N.C. has been canceled due to the coronavirus and the concerns for safety that surround it.

"After much deliberation and careful monitoring of the current situation, we have decided to cancel," the Dreamville camp announced on its website.

The second annual Dreamville Festival, which was originally set for April 4th, was then rescheduled for Aug. 29 as the coronavirus first began to takeover the United States. Now, the festival has been canceled as concerns for safety from the coronavirus continue to rise.

"Although we originally hoped it would be possible to bring you the festival this August, the ongoing uncertainty regarding the COVID-19 pandemic has made this timeline no longer possible," Dreamville organizers wrote. "This decision has been extremely difficult to make, but the safety of our fans, artists, and staff is always our top priority, and nothing will ever take precedence over your well-being."

Fans who purchased tickets to Dreamville Festival will be fully refunded on or before May 22. For those who purchased the physical ticket, you will have to complete a fill out a refund request form.

This year continues to see more concert and festival cancellations as the world struggles to bounce back from the coronavirus pandemic.
