Here's what's coming to Netflix in November 2019

We've looked at what's leavingNetflix in November, now it's time to look ahead to what lies ahead.

Last year, Netflix kicked against the establishment with their release of "Roma," a fabulous Mexican film that would eventually win the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film at 2019's Academy Awards. This year, Netflix is offering "The Irishman," the new film from Martin Scorsese that sees the director reunite with Robert De Niro, as its flagship Oscar contender. The film will hit select theaters early in the month; its streaming debut comes on November 28, 2019.

Here's a look at "The Irishman" and eight other titles that have me excited for November.

The King -- NETFLIX FILM

The story of King Henry V (Timothée Chalamet) is given the epic treatment it deserves fromDavid Michôd ("Animal Kingdom") andJoel Edgerton ("Boy Erased") in "The King." Sean Harris, Ben Mendelsohn, Robert Pattinson, and Lily-Rose Depp all co-star. The tale sees the young king struggle to repair the kingdom ravished by his tyrannical father while also coming of age. She-Ra and the Princesses of Power: Season 4 -- NETFLIX FAMILY

It is an age of chaos inEtheria asGlimmer takes take the throne in DreamWorks TV's fourth season of the rebooted "Masters of the Universe" spin-off. (Avail. 11/5/19)

The Great British Baking Show: Holidays: Season 2 -- NETFLIX ORIGINAL

As if "The Great British Baking Show" final wasn't enough to look forward to; one week later former competitors return for the second holiday themed bake off.(Avail. 11/8/19)

Green Eggs and Ham -- NETFLIX ORIGINAL

Based on the writing of Dr. Seuss, "Green Eggs and Ham" promises to be an wild animated ride. In the meantime watch cast members Michael Douglas, Adam Devine, Keegan-Michael Key, Ilana Glazer and Eddie Izzard give a dramatic reading to the source material. (Avail. 11/8/19)

The Toys That Made Us: Season 3 -- NETFLIX ORIGINAL

"The Toys That Made Us" explores the stories behind popular toy brands. This season they take on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Power Rangers, My Little Pony and wrestling figures.(Avail. 11/15/19)

The Crown: Season 3 -- NETFLIX ORIGINAL

"The Crown" sees a new cast and a new decade as Queen Elizabeth II (Olivia Colman) leads England in the 1960s. Helena Bonham Carter, Tobias Menzies, Josh O'Connor and Erin Dohertymake up the remaining bulk of the cast. (Avail. 11/17/19)

Mike Birbiglia: The New One -- NETFLIX ORIGINAL

For the second month in a row, I find myself looking forward to a stand-up performance. Last month it was Jenny Slate's "Stage Fright" and this time around it's Mike Birbiglia's "The New One."Birbiglia is a clever, unassuming and often self-deprecating comic, but his dry aloofness is frequently hilarious. The Irishman -- NETFLIX FILM

If you have the opportunity to see "The Irishman" in theaters, then don't pass up the opportunity. The latest film from Martin Scorsese is an epic that spans numerous decades as it explores the rise and fall of Jimmy Hoffa (Al Pacino) from the perspective of hitman Frank Sheeran (Robert De Niro) and his mentorRussell Bufalino (Joe Pesci). I had the opportunity to see the film and Pesci is my early leader for Best Supporting Actor and Steven Zaillian's screenplay is fantastic. Pacino and De Niro? They're great too. I Lost My Body -- NETFLIX FILM

The synopsis for "I Lost My Body" begins: "In a Parisian laboratory, a severed hand escapes its unhappy fate and sets out to reconnect with its body..." You can stop there. I'm totally in.Based on the novel "Happy Hand" by Academy Award nominee Guillaume Laurant ("Amelie"). (Avail. 11/29/19)

  This documentary short chronicles the Camp Fire tragedy in Paradise, CA, beginning the morning of November 8, 2018. The film charts the course and consequences of the harrowing disaster — part of a terrifying new trend in California wildfires, and the deadliest fire in the United States in over 100 years — through personal interviews and first-hand video footage from survivors and emergency responders.
  
  
• Hache -- NETFLIX ORIGINAL
  Created by Verónica Fernández and directed by Jorge Torregrossa (La vida inesperada, Cocaine Coast, Velvet Collection), Hache is a tale inspired by true events. It tells the story of Helena (Adriana Ugarte), a prostitute who starts as a simple pawn in the hands of Malpica (Javier Rey), the head of a gangster band that operates in Barcelona in the 1960s. But a steep and hazardous learning curve takes Helena from the lowest rung of the organization to the top, seizing control of its heroin operation.
